Love Spring

Some of my favorite things about spring include but are not limited to:

1. Dresses! this one's Elizabeth and James.

2. Adorable sandals. Belle by Sigerson Morrison.

3. Flowers to wear. totally in love with these from Emersonmade.com.

4. Peonies. find gorgeous selections at Central Market.

5. Cadbury Minieggs. I hunt these down in January.

6. Picnics. with Jason and Hudson in a precious little park by Jason's office downtown.

9 months

Hudson has changed A TON over the last couple of weeks! First off, my baby finally started crawling on March 19, and I never thought I could get so excited! For over a month I watched him work at it and get so frustrated, so I am so happy! He is so mobile now, and it surprises me everytime I see him doing something I did not think possible. He moves from laying to sitting then on to his knees to crawling, ect. He also likes to bear crawl (think downward dog). I found him kneeling over his wicker toy basket the other day picking through his books. He definitely wants to start pulling up now, so I am constantly trying to better baby proof the house. It is So much fun watching my baby grow!
I took him to the Ped yesterday, and she said he is doing great.

a wedding and other stuff

A couple of weekends ago we attended Jason's cousin Marie's wedding in Richmond. It was Hudson's first wedding, and he seemed to enjoy himself.

It was nice seeing all of Jason's family again! It had been quite a while.

After the wedding, Grammy and Aunt Sarah came to stay with us! We had such a fun time. Hudson loved the company. We did some baby shopping and ate at a restaurant called Yard House. It's an "upscale" sports bar at the City Centre. The food is yummy. If you ever go, the BBQ chicken salad is sooo good!

Little Hudson was being so cute this afternoon, so I grabbed my camera! These pictures capture his personality so well. This "Jon Jon" belonged to my cousin's little boy ten years ago. This classic style never goes out for baby boys and tots-I love it! And Hudson just melts my heart in it!

Spring Trends

I love the spring time for many reasons. One being the fashions that grace the runway. This year, I am loving the neutral, earthy tones worn with just a pop of color. Bring on the warmer weather!

mother nature, huh?

Dear What To Expect The First Year,

I found it weird, actually completely absurd, when you made this bold statement in the chapter about the 8th month of a baby's life. "If it feels good, humans do it (true). Which is what Mother Nature banked on when she created genitals...." What? What you said is true about genitals (ew), although I hate your word choice. Let's be serious, I think most people, Christian or not, believe a God created people and He was not a She. I know you were trying to be all PC, but that's just lame. I've heard people refer to "mother nature" in the context of weather, and I just blow it off. "When she created genitals", really? I'll be honest, I don't like you as much anymore. Too bad you have sold 7 million copies or something. Let's just not let it happen again.
